New York City Begins Phase One of Reopening

NYC begins reopening

New York City entered phase one of reopening today, June 8th. Gov. Cuomo expects phase one of reopening NYC to bring over 400,00 employees back to work in the city.

The implementation of a new early warning dashboard to monitor and review how COVID-19 is being contained will also be in place. This will track new infections, hospital capacity by region, and other metrics. Additionally, the MTA has installed new no-touch payment scanners in half its subway stations to help limit contact points.

Which industries can reopen in phase one of NYC’s reopening plan?

Construction, agriculture, retail trade (delivery, curbside, and in-store pickup services only), and manufacturing are some of the industries which can reopen on June 8th in NYC.

What will happen in phase two of reopening New York City?
