Stephanie pgc team Q&A

Meet Stephanie, one of our amazing Business Managers based in our PGC NYC office. Keep reading to find out a little more about Stephanie and what a typical day in the office entails!

1. What is your job role?

I am a Business Manager.

2. How/why did you get into the staffing/HR industry?

I was a part-time Event Staff Manager during my college years and loved the training and development process of training my staff that I took on a HRM minor. For a while, I had wanted to be an HR Generalist but was pulled in a different direction. When I saw the opening for PGC, I felt like it was the perfect opportunity to get back into the HR industry.

3. What is one thing you learned this week about the staffing industry?

The complexity of picking Canadian benefits and the difference of territories in comparison to the US landscape.

4. What is your favorite Bevi flavor in the office?

Coconut.

5. When does your competitive streak strike?

Mostly when playing sports.

6. Are you doing any fall activities?

During fall I love getting together with friends to watch football and checking out the local brewery and orchards.

7. Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have a 5-month-old Cavapoo puppy named Jeffrey!

8. What is one interesting thing about you your colleagues may not know?

For a handful of years growing up, I trained in Martial Arts. I achieved my second-degree black belt in Kaizen Karate, was fluent with the nunchucks, and taught 5-year old’s how to kick, punch, and defend themselves.

9. What does a typical day in your role involve?

A typical day in my role starts off with morning meetings to connect with the rest of the team followed by a module I am assigned to that week, such as terminations, check-in, or contract changes. I help the team ensure that all workers’ profiles on Precision are up to date as well as making sure their questions are answered. Additionally, I run kick-off calls for new clients and make sure they have an awesome experience with PGC.

10. What is your favorite quote?

“Be a Pineapple, Stand Tall, Wear a Crown, and be Sweet on the Inside!”

11. What is your most used emoji?

Happy face emoji! 🤗
